dataserv is a member of SEAP, The Society of European Affairs Professionals. As part of
SEAP we have an obligation to ensure that ethical standards are maximized and that no EU
members are compromised by the products and services we offer.
dataserv runs a management system on a group level which covers all dataserv
facilities, joint ventures and partner process.
At a group level dataserv has undertaken to obtain International Organisational
Standardisation (ISO) for key aspects of our service in order to work with industry recognised
accreditations. These accreditations cover all dataserv facilities, joint ventures and partner
processes.

Each of these four accreditations is monitored and audited for effectiveness with a fully
integrated system of non conformance and corrective action plan system in place to ensure
continued improvement.
In the United Kingdom dataserv is an approved compliance scheme licensed by SEPA. All
UK recycling facilities operate as Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) in
compliance with the WEEE regulation and are licensed by the Environmental Agency (EA) of
England. dataserv holds Waste Carrier Licenses and also Waste Broker Licenses for the
UK.
In Germany dataserv operates a nationwide compliance scheme (“Systembetreiber”) under
the German WEEE regulations (“ElektroG”) and all recycling facilities are licensed waste
facilities and also certified Waste Specialists under the German law
(“Entsorgungsfachbetrieb”) which includes a European-wide waste broker license for a wide
range of waste codes.
In Italy dataserv is an approved compliance scheme (“Sistema Colletivo”) and registered at
the Centro di Coordinamento RAEE. dataserv’s facilities are fully waste licensed and hold a
waste broker license.
Our Blancco Data Cleaner ensures that each time a hard drive is wiped using Blancco, a
detailed erasure report is generated and copied to the hard drive of the machine, with
Hardware Asset Management information that meets and exceeds compliance and
regulatory requirements of SOX, HIPAA, FISMA, FACT, ACT.
The equipment we dispose of is recycled in compliance with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives and
disposal documents, such was Waste Transfer Notes, Carriers Licenses and Certificates of
Recycling will be produced upon request.
We pursue continuous improvements in environmental performance and the management
system using the BATNEEC (Best Available Techniques). |
