dataserv has been co-founder of the StEP (Solving the e-waste problem) organization hosted
by the United Nations. StEP is an initiative of various UN organizations with the overall aim
to solve the e-waste problem. Together with prominent members from industry,
governments, international organizations, NGOs and the science sector actively participating,
StEP initiate and facilitate approaches towards the sustainable handling of e-waste. In five
Task Forces feasible, just and environmentally safe solutions for the e-waste problem are
developed through analysis, planning and pilot projects. dataserv is active in the task force
recycling and in the task force reuse of StEP.
The Coalition for American Electronics Recycling (CAER); represents U.S. companies that believe electronics recycling should be performed securely and sustainably, for the benefit of the American economy.
It is a commitment to manage the volume of e-waste generated within our borders, creating good jobs, expanding trade, protecting America's security interests and enhancing sustainability.
dataserv is a member of ICER, the Industry Council for Electronic Equipment Recyling.
ICER is a membership association involving material suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and
distributors, the waste management industry, recyclers and local authorities.
Membership is exclusively for environmentally responsible companies and organizations.
