Dataserv® team take part in 'Maggie's Centre Night Hike'
London, 14th September 2007
We are delighted to announce the success of our dataserv team in completing the 'Maggie's Centre Night Hike',
raising over £7000 for the charity that provides care hospices across the UK for cancer patients and their
families.
With a start time of 10.00pm on Friday September 14, the team of four intrepid dataservers followed
a 17-mile moonlit route around the streets of London, high above the Circle Line.
The walk was put on in conjunction with Open House London, an initiative that allowed hikers exclusive
after-hours access to some of the architectural jewels of the capital, including Guildhall, The Royal
Geographical Society, The Royal Festival Hall and City Hall.
Including a special 'night flight' on the British Airways London Eye (specially illuminated in Maggie's
colours for the event) the dataserv team crossed the finish line at approximately 4.00 am on the morning
of the 15th.
A proud Vicki Glaysher of team dataserv commented:
'...a wonderful night, we were privileged to be involved with such a fantastic cause and a great night was
had by everyone involved.'
Maggie's Centre's runs a number of similar events throughout the UK, details of which can be found on
the events page of their website.
