Depending on the age, condition and marketability of the equipment it will move to one of the
following five key areas of redistribution:
Remarketing
Redeployment
Employee Sales
Buy Back
Donations
Our experience will help us identify which process we think is most suitable, however, you
may wish to specify a different method of re-distribution.
Remarketing:
Equipment which meets the functional and cosmetic requirements will be
resold via our channels and X% of the final sales price returned to the customer. We will
realize maximum commercial value for your redundant equipment on your behalf, using our
contacts and market knowledge. The benefit we accrue can be audited throughout the
process and offset against costs or returned to you as a revenue stream. This is particularly
valuable to large businesses that regularly upgrade, meaning an annual positive entry on the
balance sheet. Confirmation of total remarketed value will be carried out by dataserv.
Redeployment:
You may wish to either redeploy equipment back into your maintenance pool
or have equipment back in a division of your own business, where state of the art equipment
is not so essential. Alternatively you may wish to redeploy to a third party nominated by you.
Staff Sales: You want to sell your equipment to your employees. We will organize and settle
the sales for you via our online shop solutions, providing individual access to the equipment
only for members from your organization.
Buy Back:
Equipment which meets the functional and cosmetic requirements will be resold
based on the Used Equipment Purchase Price (UEPP) schedule for the month in which the
equipment was received and the customer will be reimbursed this amount. Confirmation of
total buy back value will be carried out by dataserv. The UEPP is available via your local
dataserv sales representative.
Donations:
dataserv has many links with charitable organizations across the world. These
include schools, hospitals, charitable institutions, public sector departments and not-for-profit
foundations. Our customer may wish for dataserv to ensure their retired equipment is used
for their benefit, or for the benefit of any charity of their choice. In either case we will ensure
your equipment has all existing data eradicated, and is clean and functional.
